Tennis instruction in the US runs from a certified teaching pro giving private lessons on a park court to full academies with fitness staff, boarding and tournament travel. Private lessons are priced per hour, semi-private and group clinics cost less per player, and most clubs run junior programs after school and adult drills in the evening. The USTA organizes the national rating (NTRP) and the adult and junior leagues most players join; the USPTA and PTR certify coaches. Summer camps take kids by the week or the day and usually include lunch and match play. Stadiums and event venues host college matches, USTA sanctioned tournaments and the occasional exhibition, with free or low-cost admission for most of them.

New York is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around New York is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

We've been working with Jonathan for some time. We were looking for a coach for our little ones who could instill a strong technical foundation while maintaining a fun environment that also develops their enthusiasm and interest. We got exactly what we were looking for in Jonathan. If you want your kids to actually develop a technical foundation and enthusiasm for sport, we highly recommend reaching out to Jonathan and his excellent team.

This is the first review I’ve ever written but KTC tennis classes has been wonderful for my kids since my older child started 1.5 years ago when he was 2.5 years old. It was very beneficial for him, so as soon as my younger one turned 18 months I also signed him up for classes with Jonathan. I’ve loved watching the kids grow and thrive in their confidence, skills, coordination, focus, and love of sports. With so many tennis/sports classes to choose from, it can be hard to tell off the bat how one stands out from another. After a trial class with Jonathan it was immediately clear to me how well he understood and catered to each kids’ development, temperament, and how to communicate with them. He has a wealth of knowledge and professionalism when it comes to teaching young children tennis and beyond. Jonathan is extremely intentional with each drill and sequence of activities - and quickly help me realise he was training their cognitive function as well as physical. As a parent, I’ve come to really appreciate Jonathan’s direct, no-BS feedback to be helpful, and know that he has the best intentions for the children‘s development. At the same time I think you’ll get more out of the

My 2.5 yr old daughter loves going to Coach Jonathan's tennis class. The class was a little challenging for her when she first got started right after she turned 2. We are lucky that Coach Jonathan is super experienced and knows how to train kids. My daughter has developed so much since her first class. As a mom, I'm grateful that Coach Jonathan's class helps build grit in my daughter while she's having fun.

My son absolutely LOVES Kids Tennis Co! Coach Jonathan is fantastic! Our son has never complained once about going to tennis, he loves everything from the warm ups through each of the drills. Our son's tennis skills and coordination have had a meaningful impact on his eye/hand coordination more broadly - as well as his love for physical activity! Our almost 5 year old has gone from no interest in sports to wanting to play tennis, baseball and basketball all the time. We highly recommend KTC!

My twin 6 year olds have been taking tennis lessons at Kids Tennis Co for 3 years and love it there. The combination of professionalism shown by the team under Jonathan's leadership, the development of sporting skills broader than tennis alone, together with the enthusiasm and joy exhibited by my children in anticipation and after each lesson means I would recommend Kids Tennis Co if you're looking to develop a love of sports in your children. I have seen how my kids have progressed so well under their tailored and attentive tuition with small class sizes, and I have been impressed at how effective the coaches are at building confidence in the children. I couldn't recommend these classes more highly.
